5.23 JDBC Resource General tab

Use the JDBC Resource General tab to view the general information of the selected JDBC resource. You can also configure the JDBC resource properties such as Connection Pool and Description of the selected JDBC resource.

The JDBC Resource General tab displays the following dynamic item:

Sub title

Displays the name of the selected JDBC resource.

The JDBC Resource General tab displays the following General items in a sequence:

JNDI Name

Displays the JNDI name of the selected JDBC resource.

Status check box

Displays a check box to enable or disable the selected JDBC resource on the domain. If this check box is selected or cleared, then the selected JDBC resource is enabled or disabled on the domain respectively.

Connection Pool list box

Select a connection pool from the list of connection pool(s). By default, this list box displays the connection pool associated with the selected JDBC resource.

Confirm the connection pool link

Click this link to display the corresponding JDBC Connection Pool General tab, where you can verify the correctness of the connection pool selected in the Connection Pool list box. If required, you can edit the connection pool information.

Create a new connection pool link

Click this link to display the corresponding JDBC Connection Pool pane, where you can create a new JDBC connection pool.

Description text box

By default, this text box displays the description already specified for the selected JDBC resource. You can edit the description specified in the text box. If the description is not specified, then this text box is blank.

The JDBC Resource General tab displays the following action item:

Apply button

To set the values specified in the Status check box, Connection Pool list box, and Description text box for the displayed JDBC resource, click the Apply button to display the Apply Changes dialog box, and then click the OK button.
