5.18 Application Target tab

Use the Application Target tab to view the information about the target(s) on which the selected application is deployed. You can enable or disable the selected application on the target(s), manage targets of the application, and redeploy the application. You can also launch the selected application on all or specific targets.

The Application Target tab displays the following dynamic items:

Sub title

Displays the name of the selected application.

Target count

Displays (within parentheses) the total number of targets displayed in the Name column.

The Application Target tab displays the following Target items in a tabular format:

Name

Displays a list of target server(s) (as a link) on which the selected application is deployed. Click this link to display the general information of the selected target server. The target server can be a cluster, Java EE server, or the Domain Administration Server (DAS). By default, this column is sorted in ascending order.

Configuration

Displays the configuration name (as a link) of the target server(s) listed in the Name column. Click this link to display the corresponding Java EE Configurations General pane. This column can be sorted.

Number of Applications

Displays the total number of applications deployed on each target server listed in the Name column. This column can be sorted.

Number of Resources

Displays the total number of JDBC resources available on each target server listed in the Name column. This column can be sorted.

Node

Displays the node name (as a link) of the target server(s) listed in the Name column. Click this link to display the corresponding Node General pane. If the target server is DAS in the Name column, then this column displays a hyphen (-). This column can be sorted.

Enabled

Displays check boxes to enable or disable the selected application on the target server(s) listed in the Name column. If the selected application is enabled or disabled on a target, then the corresponding check box is selected or cleared respectively. To enable the selected application, select the Enabled check box to display the Enable Application dialog box, and then click the OK button. To disable the selected application, clear the Enabled check box to display the Disable Application dialog box, and then click the OK button. This column can be sorted.

Action

Displays the Launch button for the application deployed on the target server(s) listed in the Name column. To launch the selected application, click the corresponding Launch button to display the Launch Application dialog box, specify the required details, and then click the OK button. If the selected application is disabled on the selected target, then the Information dialog box is displayed.

The Application Target tab displays the following action items:

Enable All button

To enable the application on its associated target(s), click the Enable All button to display the Enable Application dialog box, and then click the OK button.

Disable All button

To disable the application on its associated target(s), click the Disable All button to display the Disable Application dialog box, and then click the OK button.

Manage Target button

To manage targets of the selected application, click the Manage Target button to display the Manage Target dialog box, and then click the OK button.

Launch button

Displays the Launch button for the application(s) listed in the Name column. To launch the selected application on its target server, click the Launch button to display the Launch Application dialog box, specify the required details, and then click the OK button. If the selected application is not enabled on the domain or on any of the targets on which it is deployed, then the Information dialog box is displayed.

Redeploy button

Displays the Redeploy button for the application(s) listed in the Name column. To redeploy the applications listed in the Name column, click the Redeploy button to display the Redeploy Application dialog box, specify the required details, and then click the OK button.
