3.3.2 Uninstalling Application Server (In Windows)

Connect to Application Server to un-install Application Server.

Important note

If there are other products that are no longer required apart from Application Server, these products will also be un-installed.

The two types of un-installation methods are as follows:

You can un-install all the component software of the product or you can select and un-install the component software. The un-installation operation requires Administrator permissions. For details on the notes on un-installation, see Appendix I.1 Notes on the installation and un-installation of Application Server, and for details on the error codes used during un-installation, see Appendix I.6 List of error codes for Application Server installation and un-installation (In Windows).

Important note

The description of Windows menu names in this manual presumes Windows Server 2019.

Organization of this subsection

(1) When the un-installer of the product is used

The procedure for using the un-installer of the product is as follows. This subsection describes the procedure for un-installing all the component software of the product.

Procedure

  1. Make sure that none of the component software processes are running. If any process is running, stop the process.

  2. From the Start menu, select Cosminexus, and then Un-install uCosminexus Application Server.

    A window confirming the component software to be un-installed (Do you want to un-install uCosminexus Application Server completely? Choose [No] to select the programs you want to un-install.) appears.

  3. Click the Yes button.

    The Start Un-installation dialog box appears.

    Reference note

    You can also select and un-install the component software of the product. In such cases, click the No button. In the Select Program dialog box that is displayed, select the component software (program) you want to un-install, and then click the Next button.

    For details on the component software supporting the products, see 2.2.1(3) Component software supporting the products.

  4. Check the specified contents, and if the contents are correct, click the Next button.

    The un-installation starts. When the un-installation finishes, the Setup Complete dialog box appears.

  5. Click the Finish button.

    The un-installation of Application Server finishes.

(2) When a program is un-installed or changed

The procedure of un-installing Application Server by un-installing or changing a program is as follows. This subsection describes the procedure for un-installing all the component software of the product.

Procedure

  1. Make sure that none of the component software processes are running. If any process is running, stop the process.

  2. From the Start menu, select Control Panel and then Programs and Functionality.

    The Un-install or Change a Program dialog box appears.

  3. Select uCosminexus Application Server, right click, and then click the Un-install and change button.

    A window confirming the component software to be un-installed (Do you want to un-install uCosminexus Application Server completely? Choose [No] to select the programs you want to un-install.) appears.

  4. Click the Yes button.

    The Start Un-installation dialog box appears.

    Reference note

    You can also select and un-install the component software of the product. In such cases, click the No button. In the Select Program dialog box that is displayed, select the component software (program) you want to un-install, and then click the Next button.

    For details on the component software supporting the products, see 2.2.1(3) Component software supporting the products.

  5. Check the specified contents, and if the contents are correct, click the Next button.

    The un-installation starts. When the un-installation finishes, the Setup Complete dialog box appears.

  6. Click the Finish button.

    The un-installation of Application Server finishes.
