10.2.6 Setting up the Client Control page

The Client Control page allows you to set up the system so that the system starts the job destination PC to execute the job if the PC is not running. You can also specify to have the system shut down the destination PC after starting it. If the destination is an agent for UNIX, Shut down the client after the job execution is ignored. In addition, you cannot specify to shut down a computer for the following jobs executed on an agent for UNIX or an agent for Mac: Get system information from computer (UNIX) and Get software information from computer (UNIX).

Start the target computer if it is not running

If the destination PC is not running, the system starts the PC and then executes the job. This start operation is destined for PCs that belong to the ID group or host group specified as the destination of the job. Therefore, if a relay manager or management relay server on the route to the destination is not running, the job transfer stops there.

Shut down the client after the job execution.

Select this option if you want to shut down the destination PC after starting it.

Do not select this option if you remote install JP1/IT Desktop Management 2 - Agent. The remote installation may not be completed normally. For the Get system information from computer (UNIX) and Get software information from computer (UNIX) jobs, this item is not displayed.
