3.2.5 Notes on multicast distribution
Note the following when using multicast distribution:

If you specify the same multicast address for multiple relay systems or management relay servers in a network, the job will be distributed by multicast distribution from each of those relay systems or management relay servers to their respective connected computers. To avoid this kind of duplicate job distribution, specify a unique multicast address for each relay system or management relay server.

If a managed computer has a different multicast address from its higher system, jobs are distributed by unicast distribution even if you specify multicast distribution. For example, if a relay system goes down and jobs have to be temporarily distributed via another relay system with a different multicast address, those jobs will be distributed by unicast distribution.

You cannot use multicast distribution to distribute jobs with split distribution specified.

If the agent software is not running or the managed computer has not been turned on when multicast distribution starts, multicast distribution takes place after the agent starts or the managed computer is turned on.

If a computer is unable to receive an entire job sent by multicast distribution, the remainder is sent automatically by unicast distribution.

When creating a job, do not select Multicast distribution together with Start the target computer if it is not running (Client Control page). If you execute a job with both specified, distribution will take a long time to computers that are turned off. If you want to distribute a job by multicast distribution to a computer that is turned off, turn on the computer before executing the job.

If there are machines that receive a unicast package (a dialog box is displayed during the download) a few minutes after executing the job which is specified as Multicast distribution, specify a smaller value (a few KB) in the agent configuration Communication settings - Multicast distribution - Maximum packet size for job transmission.
However, when you specify a smaller value, the time required for downloading takes longer inversely. If the packet size is halved, the time required for downloading will be doubled.
