1.2.1 General procedure for remote collection

You can collect files (user programs and data) from managed computers by creating and executing a remote collection job on the managing server.

Files collected by remote collection (called collected files) are stored on the managing server in an archived or compressed format. You need to restore the files to their original form before you can use them on the managing server.
