Format

apmchg [-c monitoring-interval | -p | -a | -d | -t | -r | -v number-of-VarBind-List ]

Function

The apmchg command can change the process monitoring interval and apply specified changes to the proxy definition file or the event source definition file.

Option

-c monitoring-interval

Changes the process monitoring interval to the specified value. The specified monitoring interval is saved in the monitoring interval definition file (apmini.conf). The specifiable range is 1 to 60 (minutes). The default is 1 minute. For details about the monitoring interval definition file, see 6.4.1 Monitoring interval definition file (apmini.conf).

-p

Reflects the contents of the proxy definition file (apmproxy.conf). The contents that are not defined properly are ignored. For details about the proxy definition file, see 6.4.3 Proxy definition file (apmproxy.conf).

-a

Reflects the contents of the event source definition file (apmaddr.conf). Contents that are not defined properly are ignored. For details about the event source definition file, see 6.4.4 Event source definition file (apmaddr.conf).

-d

Reflects the contents of the event-delay configuration file (apmdelay.conf). The contents that are not defined properly are ignored. For details about the event-delay configuration file, see 6.4.5 Event-delay configuration file (apmdelay.conf).

-t

Reflects the contents of the event-TCP configuration file (apmtcpsend.conf). The contents that are not defined properly are ignored. For details about the event-TCP configuration file, see 6.4.7 Event TCP notification definition file (apmtcpsend.conf).

-r

Reflects the contents of the executable command definition file (apmremotecmd.conf). The contents that are not defined properly are ignored. For details on the executable command definition file, see 6.4.6 Executable command definition file(apmremotecmd.conf).

-v number-of-VarBind-List

Changes the number of process information items (variable binding number) notified by a single process status change event. The specified monitoring interval is saved in the monitoring interval definition file (apmini.conf). The specifiable range is from 1 to 20. The default is 5. For details about the monitoring interval definition file, see 6.4.1 Monitoring interval definition file (apmini.conf).

Normal termination

1

Abnormal termination. Possible causes are that an inappropriate option is specified, the apmProcMng daemon process is not running, or a definition file being read contains an inappropriate specification.

If an inappropriate option is specified, the command usage will be displayed in the standard output. In other cases, an error message will be displayed in the standard output.
