6.4.3 Proxy definition file (apmproxy.conf)

Define IP Address (e.g. IP address of a proxy server) as the event destination.APM issue an event to the monitoring manager via host that have the above IP Address. You should define this file in the following environments.

After modifying this file, perform either of the following tasks:

The hosts to which APM posts startup events are posted are ordered by priorities as follows:

  1. Proxy definition file (apmproxy.conf)

  2. Startup event destination definition file (apmdest.conf)

  3. /etc/SnmpAgent.d/snmpd.conf or SNMP service destination

Organization of this subsection

(1) Format

In the proxy definition file, specify a semicolon-separated pair consisting of the IP Address of the host (e.g. IP address of a proxy server) and the IP address of the monitoring manager. In addition to comment lines, portions after a number sign (#) are treated as comments.

IP-address-like-a-proxy-server

Specify the IP address or host name (e.g. IP address of a proxy server) by using no more than 255 bytes.

monitoring-manager-IP-address

Specify the IP address or host name by using characters up to 255 bytes. This IP address or host name indicates a monitoring manager. The monitoring manager is the destination of events issued by APM, and those events are issued via other host(e.g. a proxy server).

If there are multiple monitoring manager, specify all IP addresses or host names.
