8.4 Notes on automatic startup of services
-
The following services can be set to start automatically when the machine starts: JP1/Service Support - Web Service, JP1/Service Support, and JP1/Service Support - Task Service. To do this, change the startup type from Manual to Automatic for JP1/Service Support - Web Service and JP1/Service Support - Task Service.
However, in a cluster environment, set automatic startup of services in the cluster software, instead of changing the startup type settings.
To issue JP1 events from JP1/Service Support, set the service startup order in the JP1/Base start sequence definition file (JP1SVRPR.DAT). If you do this, set the startup type to Manual for the following services: JP1/Service Support - Web Service, JP1/Service Support, JP1/Service Support - Task Service, and JP1/Service Support - DB Server.
To adjust the execution timing of the command that checks for Items that are left unprocessed, manually start JP1/Service Support - Task Service at the desired times, without enabling automatic startup for that service.

Before you specify the service automatic startup settings, make sure that setup is complete.
