Failed to encrypt communications by using the communication encryption function for the command "command-name". (host name of connection destination = connection-destination-host-name, cause = cause)

An attempt to encrypt communications to the connection destination failed.

S:

Does not execute the command.

O:
  • If The CN or SAN of the server authentication certificate does not match with the host name of the connection destination. is displayed for cause, verify that the CN or SAN in the server certificate of the manager host at the connection destination matches the manager host name specified by the jcochstat command with the -h option, and then re-execute the command.

  • If A communication error occurred. is displayed for cause, check the possible causes listed below, and then re-execute the command. If the problem cannot be resolved, use the data collection tool to collect data, and then contact a system administrator.

    • For the jcochstat command, check whether the root certificate that corresponds to the server certificate of the manager host specified with the -h option has been saved on the host that executed the command. If not, copy it to the host.

    • For the jcochstat command, check whether the communication encryption function of the manager host specified with the -h option is enabled. If not, enable it.

    • For the jcochstat command, check whether the server certificate of the manager host specified with the -h option is still valid. If it is no longer valid, update the server certificate.

    • The setting of the communication encryption function might have changed since JP1/IM - Manager started up. Restart JP1/Base and JP1/IM - Manager to apply the communication encryption function settings.

  • If A system error occurred. is displayed for cause, use the data collection tool to collect data, and then contact a system administrator.
