5.7 Remote Monitoring Settings window

The Remote Monitoring Settings window is used to set information required to perform remote monitoring. This window is opened from the Register Host window or the Edit Host Properties window by clicking the Setup button in the Remote monitoring settings area. The items that must be set depend on whether WMI/NetBIOS or SSH is selected from the Remote communication type drop-down list.

The following describes the items displayed in the Remote Monitoring Settings window.

Remote communication settings

The drop-down list in this area selects the communication method for remote monitoring. The user can select WMI/NetBIOS or SSH. The default is blank. If a blank is selected in this area, other areas are not displayed. The areas displayed in the window vary depending on the selected communication method. If remote monitoring will not be performed, the user does not need to specify the setting.

If WMI/NetBIOS is selected:

A Windows host can be connected. The following figure shows an example of the Remote Monitoring Settings window displayed when WMI/NetBIOS is selected.
