3.19 List of Repeated Event Conditions window

The List of Repeated Event Conditions window is used to display a list of repeated event conditions, which are used for suppressing monitoring of repeated events.

To display this window, in the Event Console window, from the Options menu, select Repeated Event Condition Settings.

To use the List of Repeated Event Conditions window, you must have JP1_Console_Admin permission. You cannot use this window if you log in to a Central Console in which suppression of monitoring of repeated events is disabled.

The following figure shows the List of Repeated Event Conditions window.

[Figure]

The following describes the items displayed in the List of Repeated Event Conditions window.

List of repeated event conditions

This area lists repeated event conditions. The higher a repeated event condition is listed, the higher its priority.

A maximum of 2,500 repeated event conditions can be listed. You can select multiple conditions in the list.

[Figure] (Pencil icon)

A pencil icon appears for a repeated event condition that was added or edited. This icon disappears when the condition is applied to Central Console by clicking the Apply button.

Apply

Select the check box in this column for a repeated event condition that you want to manipulate.

Type

The [Figure] icon is displayed in this column for additional repetition event conditions. No icon is displayed for other conditions.

Repeated event condition name

The name of a repeated event condition is displayed in this column.

Comment

The comment specified for a repeated event condition is displayed in this column.

Add

Click this button when you want to add a repeated event condition to the List of repeated event conditions. When you click this button, the Repeated Event Condition Settings window opens. For details about this window, see 3.17 Repeated Event Condition Settings window. When you click the OK button in the Repeated Event Condition Settings window, the repeated event condition is appended to the end of the List of repeated event conditions. If no more repeated event conditions can be added, the Add button is disabled.

Edit

Click this button when you want to edit the repeated event condition selected in the List of repeated event conditions. When you click this button, the Repeated Event Condition Settings window opens, displaying the details of the selected condition. For details about this window, see 3.17 Repeated Event Condition Settings window. When you click the OK button in the Repeated Event Condition Settings window, the changes are applied. This button becomes available when a repeated event condition is selected in the List of repeated event conditions area.

Copy

Click this button when you want to create a copy of the repeated event condition selected in the List of repeated event conditions. When you click this button, a copy of the selected condition is appended to the end of that list. The string Copy is prefixed to the appended condition. For example, if you created a copy of ABC (which is the name of the repeated event condition that is to be copied), Copy ABC is appended. If Copy ABC already exists, a number beginning with 2 is suffixed to Copy (for example, Copy2 ABC). The suffixed number can be incremented (2, 3, 4, ...) to prevent duplication of condition names. The Copy button is available when a repeated event condition is selected in the List of repeated event conditions. It becomes unavailable when the maximum number of repeated event conditions has been reached. The button is unavailable when no repeated event conditions is selected or when multiple repeated event conditions are selected.

Delete

Click this button when you want to delete the repeated event conditions selected in the List of repeated event conditions. Multiple conditions can be deleted at once. When you click this button, the message KAVB0253-Q is displayed in a dialog box. When you click the Yes button in this dialog box, the selected conditions are deleted. If no repeated event conditions are displayed in the list, the Delete button is disabled. The Delete button is enabled when at least one condition is selected.

Change Type

Click this button when you want to change the type of the repeated event conditions selected in the List of repeated event conditions. The type of multiple conditions can be changed at once. When you click the Change Type button, the message KAVB1148-Q is displayed in a dialog box. When you click the Yes button in this dialog box, the type of the selected conditions is changed. Note that the possible type change is from additional repetition event conditions to repeated event conditions only. The contents of the Apply, Repeated event condition name, and Comment columns do not change. If you select repeated event conditions, they will not be changed to additional repetition event conditions. If there are no additional repetition event conditions in the List of repeated event conditions, the Change Type button is disabled. The Change Type button is enabled when at least one additional repetition event condition is selected. If you inadvertently change the type of a condition from additional repetition event condition to repeated event condition, you can cancel the change by clicking the Close button in the List of Repeated Event Conditions window instead of Apply.

Up

Click this button when you want to move the repeated event conditions selected in the List of repeated event conditions one line up. The Up button is enabled unless any of the following conditions exist:

  • No repeated event condition is selected.

  • The repeated event condition on the top line is selected.

  • Discontinuous event conditions are selected.

Down

Click this button when you want to move the repeated event conditions selected in the List of repeated event conditions one line down. The Down button is enabled unless any of the following conditions exist:

  • No repeated event condition is selected.

  • The repeated event condition on the bottom line is selected.

  • Discontinuous event conditions are selected.

Apply

The settings displayed in the List of Repeated Event Conditions window are applied to Central Console. While suppression of monitoring of repeated events is enabled, suppression continues for repeated events that are not affected by changes to repeated event conditions. Suppression ends for repeated events that are affected by changes to repeated event conditions. Repeated event conditions are assumed to be changed when:

  • The state of a check box in the Apply column was changed in the List of repeated event conditions area.

  • The Edit button is clicked to open the Repeated Event Condition Settings window, and then the OK button is clicked.

  • The repeated event conditions are deleted.
