2.4.1 Opening the New Delivery window

Important

If you choose to use App to send files and messages, you first need to download the Send and Receive App. For details, see 2.3 Using the Send and Receive App.

Organization of this subsection

(1) To send files and messages using Java App:

  1. From the Send/Receive drop-down menu, select App.

  2. Click New Delivery in the menu in the left side of the window.

  3. A dialog box for confirming the download of the file aftclient.dhxc appears. Click the Save button.

  4. Open the downloaded aftclient.dhxc.

If a file with the same name already exists in the folder where the downloaded file is saved, the name of the file is changed to aftclient(n).dhxc. n is a number that indicates how many times the file has been downloaded. When the New Delivery window opens, the file aftclient(n).dhxc is automatically deleted.

  1. The New Delivery window opens in a separate window. Your user name is displayed in the Sender field.

(3) To send files and messages using JWS:

If JWS is used for transmission, the steps differ depending on your browser. In addition, please do not start plural New Delivery Windows at the same time when you use JWS.

Important
  • Do not run multiple instances of the New Delivery window at once.

  • Please do not log out with displaying New Delivery Window. Because the web session is closed, you will not be able to operate in the New Delivery Window.

  • If you log out while displaying New Delivery Window, the message "Restart your browser and try again." will be displayed. In this case, restart the web browser, and then please log in again.

(a) In Internet Explorer

  1. From the Send/Receive drop-down menu, select JWS.

  2. Select New Delivery in the menu in the left side of the window.

  3. A separate window opens where you can see the New Delivery window. Your user name is displayed in the Sender field.

(b) In Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, or Safari:

Unlike using Internet Explorer, if you are using Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, or Safari as a web browser, selecting New Delivery opens a dialog box to download the aftclient.jnlp file. When you download and open this file, the New Delivery window is displayed.

Important

In Mac OS, click aftclient.jnlp while pressing and holding the control key to open the New Delivery window. If you do not click the control key, you cannot open the New Delivery window.

The following steps use Google Chrome windows as examples for explanation:

  1. From the Send/Receive drop-down menu, select JWS.

  2. Select New Delivery in the menu in the left side of the window.

  3. A dialog box to confirm that you want to download the aftclient.jnlp file appears. Click the Save button.

    Important

When you click the Discard button, the New Delivery window does not appear.

  4. In the dialog box for the file aftclient.jnlp, click aftclient.jnlp.

    Note

If one or more files with the same name are found in the folder to which aftclient.jnlp is downloaded, it is renamed to aftclient(n).jnlp depending on your browser, where n is a number that indicates how many times the file has been downloaded. The aftclient(n).jnlp files are not removed automatically, and as many files as you downloaded are retained.

We recommend that if you find some files, in the dialog box to confirm that you want to download the aftclient.jnlp file, click View All to open the download window, and use the Open Download Folder menu item to remove files on a regular basis.

  5. A separate window opens where you can see the New Delivery window. Your user name is displayed in the Sender field.
