2.3.2 Installing the App

This subsection describes how to install the App using the downloaded file.

After installation, you start the App when sending and receiving data by downloading the file for the App. For details, see the following subsections.

Organization of this subsection

(1) For Windows (with the installer)Windows

  1. Right-click the downloaded AFTClientInstaller.zip and select Expand All to unzip the file.

  2. Click aftsetup.exe. The installer starts and the User Account Control dialog box appears.

  3. Click the Yes button.

    A dialog box appears in which you select the language to use for the setup.

  4. Select the language to use and click the OK button.

    A dialog box for the setup appears.

  5. Select where to install the App. By default, the App is installed in the following folder:

    C:\Program Files\Data Highway Client

    Click the Next button. According to the procedure ,install.

  6. When you see a dialog box indicating completion of the setup, click the Complete button.

  7. A folder is created for Data Highway Client in the Start menu, and the installation completes.

(2) For Windows (with the zip file)

  1. Right-click the downloaded AFTClient.zip and select Expand All to unzip the file.

  2. Do one of the following:

    • Right-click the file 00_prepare.bat that is immediately under the folder into which the zip file was unzipped, and then run it with administrator rights.

    • Right-click the file config.dhxc that is immediately under the folder into which the zip file was unzipped, and then select Open with, Choose default program, and Browse. Click AFTClient.exe in the same folder.

    A setting window of the application opens. Please be closed.

  3. The App is installed.

(3) For macOS

  1. Double-click the downloaded AFTClient.dmg.

    The dmg file is expanded and the resulting folder opens.

  2. Drag and drop the icon of Data Highway Client.app to the Applications icon.

    The installation completes.
