10.1 Troubleshooting procedure

If an error occurs in JP1/AJS3 - Print Option, follow these steps:

  1. Find out what happened.

    Find out what occurred at the time of the error. If a message was output, check the contents of the message. For details about the cause of each message and the action to take, see 9. Messages. For details about the log information output during JP1/AJS3 - Print Option operation, see 10.2 Types of log information.

  2. Collect data.

    Collect data to identify the cause of the error. See 10.3 Information to be collected when a problem occurs, 10.4 Using data collection tools to collect information, and 10.5 Configuring dump file output and collecting dump files, and collect the necessary information.

  3. Investigate the problem.

    Determine the cause of the problem based on the information you collected. Identify where the error occurred or determine the scope of the problem.
