6.9 Jobnet flow format definitions
This section describes how to define the format JP1/AJS3 - Print Option uses for each unit type when outputting jobnet definitions in flow format. The jobnet flow output functionality outputs the unit name and the items specified in the jobnet flow table format. You can select one column or two columns for the data layout. The default is one column.
The following is an example of the output format when the data layout is in one column.
By using the jobnet flow output functionality, you can define the output items for each type of unit. You can select a maximum of 20 items per unit.
The largest number of items defined among the units governs the document format.
A hyphen (-) is displayed if an output item is undefined for that unit (as in the last three rows in the example below).
- Example:
-
-
You set five output items for a jobnet unit.
-
You set three output items for the UNIX/PC job unit.
-
You output the data in jobnet flow format.
-
In this case, the maximum number of items is five. The following shows the jobnet output format.
For a UNIX/PC job, there are three set items, but there are five cells to match the maximum number of items. The following shows the UNIX/PC job output format.
A section where the output item is undefined (third row from the bottom in the example above) uses a hyphen (-). The two cells not designated by the format (bottom two rows in the example above) are blank spaces.
If the data layout has two columns, you can select the orientation. You can select either Landscape format or Portrait format. The default is set to Landscape format.
The following is an example of output when the data layout uses two columns.
-
When there are five items, the data layout has two columns, and Portrait format is selected for the orientation
Figure 6‒39: Example of jobnet flow output 4 -
When there are six items, the data layout has two columns, and Landscape format is selected for the orientation
Figure 6‒40: Example of jobnet flow output 5 If there is an even number of items, the last cell is a blank space.
If you specify to display legends for jobnet flow output in the Environment Settings window, unit names and selected items specified in the jobnet flow format definition are output for each unit type at the top of the first page. The number of cells is the maximum number of defined items and the output format and orientation follow the format definition.
If you specify the type of unit in the jobnet flow format definition, the unit types in the legend and the data unit types can be related.
