3.5 Files to back up

If you are performing an upgrade installation or migrating the system environment, first back up the definition files as needed, then upgrade the product or install the environment in the migration target. After installation, restore the backed-up definition files.

After installing JP1/AJS3 - Print Option, restore the backed-up definition files.

If the migration source and migration target have different OSs, the location for storing the restored files may vary. See the table below to check the location for storing the files before executing the restoration.

The following table lists the files of JP1/AJS3 - Print Option that need to be backed up.

Note:

The default value of installation-folder is system-drive:\Program Files\Hitachi\JP1AJS2PO.

In the 64-bit version of Windows, read Program Files as Program Files (x86).

Replace PATH with %allusersprofile%\Hitachi\JP1\JP1_DEFAULT\JP1AJS2PO. The default value of %allusersprofile%\ is system-drive:\ProgramData.

In cases of 11-50 or later versions, an English default format definition file will be automatically provided at the time of installation. Back up the format definition file if you have changed it from its default state.

Back up the jobnet flow format definition file if you have changed it from its default state.

Back up the format definition file if you have changed it from its default state in non-Japanese language OS environment using multi-user remote operation.

Back up the jobnet flow format definition file if you have changed it from its default state using multi-user remote operation.

Back up the authentication information file if you have linked the program with JP1/AJS3 - Web Console to get the job operation information file.

After installing JP1/AJS3 - Print Option Manager, restore the backed-up definition files.

When new installation, the value of POM_DATA_PATH is different depending on the installation folder.

If the installation folder is the default installation folder or is in a folder protected by the system:

%allusersprofile%\Hitachi\JP1\JP1_DEFAULT\JP1AJS2POM
If the installation folder is other than the above:

JP1/AJS3 - Print Option Manager installation folder

A folder protected by the system is the path to a folder in any of the following:

system-drive:\Windows
system-drive:\Program Files
system-drive:\Program Files (x86)

The default value of %allusersprofile% is system-drive:\ProgramData.

This information is required if you use an IPv6 address. You do not need to set it if you do not use an IPv6 address.

Only Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2012, and Linux support an IPv6 address.
