JP1 Version 12 Job Management: Getting Started (Job Scheduler)

6.3 Monitoring the execution status of jobs and jobnets on a daily basis

If the operation schedule is set for jobnets, you can monitor the execution status of jobs and jobnets on a daily basis.

Procedure

  1. In the JP1/AJS3 - View window (Main window), in function menu area, select Status Monitor.

    [Figure]

  2. In the tree area, select the job group. In the list area, select the jobnet.

  3. Select View, Daily Schedule, and then Hierarchy.

The Daily Schedule (Hierarchy) window appears.

If the scheduled execution date is not the current day, nothing is displayed in the Daily Schedule (Hierarchy) window.

  4. Select View, Change Display Date, and then Specify Day to check the execution schedule of the jobnet.

    [Figure]

The Change Display Date dialog box appears.

  5. In Date, specify the next scheduled execution date, and then click OK.

    [Figure]

The Change Display Date dialog box closes.

  6. In the schedule area of the Daily Schedule (Hierarchy) window, check the execution status of a jobnet.

    [Figure]

The cell color helps you check the execution status of the jobnet. For example, green indicates Now running, light green indicates Ended normally, sky blue indicates Waiting to execute, and light red indicates Ended abnormally.

Clicking a cell displays the unit name, start time, end time, and current status of the jobnet on the execution result list. However, if the jobnet was registered for planned execution and then executed, clicking a date cell later than the next execution schedule does not display anything in the execution result list.

  7. To check the execution result of the units in the jobnet, click the plus sign (+), and then click the units in the jobnet.

The execution schedules of the units in the jobnet are displayed in the schedule area. Click the plus sign (+) of the nested jobnet to check the execution schedules of lower-level units.

    Tip

To view the daily schedule, you can display the status of the jobnets and jobs in hierarchical structure (as shown in this example), or display the statuses of all jobs. To display the statuses of all jobs, in the JP1/AJS3 - View window (Main window), select View, Daily Schedule, and then All Jobs to display the Daily Schedule (All Jobs) window.

  8. Select File, and then Close.
