1.8 Logging in to JP1/AJS3 - Web Console from web browser

To monitor jobnets by using Web GUI, you must log in from a web browser to JP1/AJS3 - Web Console. This section describes how to log in from a web browser to JP1/AJS3 - Web Console.

Prerequisites

Make sure that the web browser you use satisfies the following conditions. For details about how to do so, see the documentation for the web browser.

Procedure

  1. In the address bar of your web browser, enter the URL of the Login screen for JP1/AJS3 - Web Console.

    http://host-name-or-IP-address-of-Web-Console-server:22252/ajs/login.html

    The Login screen appears.

  2. Enter information about the JP1 user who logs in.

    User name

    Enter the name of a JP1 user registered in the authentication server.

    Password

    Enter the password of a JP1 user registered in the authentication server.

    Host to connect

    Specify the name of a manager host you want to connect.

  3. Click the OK button.

    The Set Monitoring Targets dialog box appears.

  4. In the Dashboard screen of Web GUI, set the information about the jobnet to be monitored.

    Day for Monitor

    Select the day to be displayed in the Dashboard screen as the monitoring-target day.

    Monitoring name

    Enter a monitoring name.

    Monitored units

    Use the Job Group tree and Jobnet list box to select the jobnet to be monitored, and then click the Add button to set the selected jobnet as a monitoring target.

  5. Click the OK button.

    If you want to set the monitoring-target jobnet at a later time, click the Cancel button.

Result

The Dashboard screen appears.

Important

If you cannot log in, the probable reasons are as follows:

  • Manager host services are not running.

    Required services might not be running on the manager host. Make sure that the services are running. If any service is not running, start it.

  • User mapping is not set correctly.

    User mapping might not have been correctly set on the manager host. Set user mapping correctly.

Postrequisites

Start monitoring of the jobnet.
