6.5.1 Exporting Operational Contents

To export only Operational Contents that have been saved in the editing environment or the development environment:

1. Log in to the machine in the editing environment or the development environment.

2. From the command prompt, execute the npexport command (export Operational Contents) command or the nppubexport command (export Published Versions of Operational Contents).

   Example:

   Navigation-Platform-installation-directory\bin\npexport -x C:\work\contents.zip

   Navigation-Platform-installation-directory\bin\nppubexport -x C:\work\contents.zip

   When the command is executed exactly as shown in the example, information about all applicable Operational Contents is exported to the contents.zip file and stored in the work directory.

   Note that this example assumes that a directory server is used for user authentication and it is not desirable to overwrite information about the access permission groups.
