6.2.1 Access permission types and setting ranges (when using a directory server for user authentication
You can set access permissions for Operational Contents for a group or for a user. For example, you can define different access permissions for the same Operational Content for different groups or users, such as the users belonging to group A can only reference the Operational Content, while the users belonging to group B and user C can not only reference the Operational Content but can also add Operational Contents. An access permission group set for a group or a user is called an access permission group.
There are three types (roles) of access permissions that can be defined for access permission groups:
-
Administrator
A user that has the role of administrator is called a Content Manager.
-
Editor
A user that has the role of editor is called a Content Editor.
-
User
For the ranges (targets) of these roles, you can select any of the following three types:
-
User
Access permissions are set for each user who logs in to Navigation Platform.
-
Group
If Active Directory is used for user authentication, access permissions can be set for each member group for Active Directory.
-
All
Access permissions are set for all users who log in to Navigation Platform except for system administrators.
