3.3 Preparing to implement the customization example

JP1/AO setup and configuration are required to implement this example of customizing a service template.

Procedure

1. Make sure that JP1/AO has been set up. Make sure that the following settings were made during setup:

   • The service template "Execute remote command" must be imported into JP1/AO.

   • The server on which the remote command is to be executed must be defined as the connection destination.

   • Settings must be made to enable the use of email notification.

   • JP1/AO must support the prerequisite products in the system, the prerequisite products in the system running the service template, and the operating systems that run the prerequisite products in the system running the service template. For details, see the Release Notes.

   • The server on which the remote command is to be executed must run the Windows operating system and must be able to execute the tasklist command.

   • The hosts file must be edited so that the JP1/AO server can resolve the name of the SMTP server.
