3.2 Overview of customizing service templates

You can customize service templates provided by JP1/AO to automate IT operation procedures to meet your business requirements and environments.

This example assumes that you need to automate the procedure in which the Windows tasklist command is executed to check if any program is running, and then have the check results automatically reported by email.

First, you must determine the JP1/AO service template that you are going to customize. In this example, you customize the JP1/AO service template "Execute remote command". This service template can be used to execute a command stored on the specified server and then output the results.

In this example, you are going to add Email Notification Plug-in to the service template "Execute remote command".
