2.2.2 Examining the system configuration

This section will examine the system configuration for operating performance monitoring.

After examining the system scale and future expandability, Company H places the monitoring manager, monitoring console server, and monitoring agent on different hosts.

Company H installs PFM - Manager on the host with the monitoring manager, which carries out integrated management of the Internet marketing system's operation status, and installs PFM - Web Console on the host with the monitoring console, which checks the operation status.

Company H installs PFM - Agent for Platform (Windows), which is the monitoring agent that collects Windows' performance data, and PFM - Base, which is the monitoring base, on the server with the Internet marketing system.
