16.3.6 Map Size dialog box

The Map Size dialog box changes the map area size of a business scope. Only in the definition mode, you can change the map area size.

The following figure shows the Map Size dialog box.

The following explains the display items of the Map Size dialog box.

Columns and Rows

Specify the map area size in a number of column and row objects (when Line-up Arrangement is chosen from the Options menu). You can specify 1 to 100 column and row objects. The default number of column objects is 10. The default number of row objects is 8.

The specified value serves as the maximum number of objects that can be defined just below the business scope. However, in JP1/AJS3 Console, the maximum number of objects that can be defined is 500. For this reason, if the value (product) obtained by multiplying the number of column objects by the number of row objects exceeds 500, the business scope is expanded only by the map area size. In this case, the maximum number of the objects that you can define is 500.

Supplementary note

If the values specified in Columns and Rows are less than the number of objects allocated to the map area or if existing objects are out of the map area, JP1/AJS3 Console View adjusts the objects to fit into the map area.
