10.6 Deleting user groups

The following describes how to delete a user group from the JP1/AO system.

Who can perform this task:

Users with User Management permission

To delete a user group:

  1. In the left pane of the Administration window, click User Groups.

  2. In the right pane (User Groups tab) of the Administration window, select the user group you want to delete, and then click the Delete User Groups button.

    You can select multiple user groups by holding down the Ctrl key and clicking.

  3. In the Delete User Groups dialog box, verify the user groups you are about to delete, and then click the OK button.

  4. In the Information dialog box, click the OK button.

The user groups you selected are removed from the list of user groups in the User Group tab.

Important note

You cannot delete user groups that have been assigned roles in a Hitachi Command Suite product. To delete such a user group, first remove the role from the user group in the Hitachi Command Suite product. You cannot use the JP1/AO interface to change roles assigned in Hitachi Command Suite products.
