3.3 Deleting service templates from JP1/AO

You can delete service templates that are no longer required from JP1/AO.

Criteria for deleting service templates:

Before you can delete a service template, you must delete all of the services that were generated from that service template.

Important note

When you delete a service template, the service template configuration file under the service template storage folder, and the shared service properties that were used by the service template are also deleted. However, they are not deleted if shared service properties are being used in other service templates.

Who can perform this task:

Users in the Admin role or the Develop role who also have Administrator permissions for the OS

To delete service templates from JP1/AO:

To delete the release service template, execute the deleteservicetemplate command from the command prompt.

The selected service templates are deleted from the JP1/AO server.

You can make sure that the service templates were deleted by confirming that they no longer appear in the Add Service dialog box.

Tip

Delete the development service template in the Editor window.
