1.8.1 About preset property definition files

Preset property definition files define beforehand the values used to set the properties that appear in the Service Definition dialog box. You can use a preset property definition file to set property values appropriate for the user environment and mode of operation in a single operation after importing service templates into a JP1/AO system.

To add a service template, you must enter values appropriate for the user environment and mode of operation for multiple properties. The preset property definition file lets you set the values for the properties that appear in the Service Definition dialog box in a single operation. We recommend that you define property values in a preset property definition file when you want to set values appropriate for the user environment and mode of operation all at once.

You can set the maximum number of preset properties that can be added to a single service template in the property file (config_user.properties). If you want to store multiple preset property definition files, use unique preset names in one service template.
