1.4.1 Intervening actions while defining services

If you are using the Service Definition dialog box and another user intervenes by performing an action (editing, deleting, or submitting a service) that affects the service you are using, the results of the intervening action apply.

The tables and figures below show what happens when another user performs an intervening action.

When the user edits and saves the service, the original user's settings apply.

Delete service

The user is able to delete the service.

The user cannot save the results of the editing process.

If another user edits or executes a service that has finished executing, it will have no effect on tasks that have already been generated. If another user attempts to delete a service, he or she will be unable to delete the service if tasks generated from that service appear in the Tasks list.
