6.6.7 Difference between agent configuration and remote monitoring configuration
There are differences between the log file trap and event log trap in agent configuration and the log file trap in remote monitoring configuration (remote-monitoring log file trap) and the event log trap in remote monitoring configuration (remote-monitoring event log trap) as described in the following table.

For the names of the hosts in an agent configuration, specify the host names listed in the hosts file or registered in DNS or the host names defined in the jp1hosts or jp1hosts2 information. For a remote monitoring configuration, the host names defined in the jp1hosts and jp1hosts2 information are not referenced. Specify the host names registered in DNS or defined in the hosts file.
For details about changing the monitoring configuration from the remote monitoring configuration to the agent configuration, see 2.3 Notes on changing the monitoring configuration from remote to agent in the Job Management Partner 1/Integrated Management - Manager Administration Guide.
For details about individual functions in the agent configuration, see the documentation corresponding to the version of JP1/Base installed on the monitoring target.
