Job Management Partner 1/Remote Control Description and Operator's Guide
(1) Changes in version 09-50
- Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 have been added as applicable operating systems.
- Notes on upgrading the OS have been added.
- The minimum and recommended values for controller CPU performance have been changed.
- FLORA gd has been added as an applicable model for the remote control agent.
(2) Changes in version 09-00
- When user authentication is set on the agent, the dialog box for changing the user name and password can be displayed when an attempt is made to connect to the agent from Remote Control Manager.
- A note stating that other products must not be installed befor the computer is restarted has been added to the notes on installation.
(3) Changes in version 08-51
- Notes on using the file transmission functionality when both the English version and the Japanese version of JP1/Remote Control exist have been added.
- Windows Server 2008 has been added as an applicable operating system.
- The check box for displaying the Readme file when the installation is completed has been deleted.
- Notes on playing sound of an agent in a security PC have been added.
(4) Changes in version 08-10
- Notes on setting authentication information have been added.
- Notes on connecting to a Windows Server 2003 agent have been changed.
- Notes on connecting to a Windows Vista or Windows XP agent have been changed.
- A description of the action to be taken when the OS does not start after an agent was installed has been added.
- JP1/Software Distribution and JP1/Remote Control series products that support Windows Vista have been added as applicable products.
- A function that blacks out the display of a connected agent when the remote control mode of the controller is exclusive has been added. A function that locks the agent PC if the blackout display restriction is forcibly lifted has been added.
(5) Changes in version 08-00
- You can now create a user who is permitted to connect to an agent for only a predefined period of time.
- The contents of operations performed in the File Transfer window can now be obtained as logs by controllers and agents.
- A function has been added that automatically switches flow control when a security PC connects to an agent.
- A function has been added that automatically locks a computer if a screen saver starts when a security PC has connected to an agent.
- Windows Server 2003 (x64) has been added to the list of supported OSs for JP1/Remote Control Agent.
- You can now specify parentheses [(...)] in the installation directory name when installing JP1/Remote Control Agent from JP1/Software Distribution.
- Descriptions have been added to explain that the screen saver does not start when a security PC has connected to an agent, and that wallpaper, window animation, and the contents of a window being dragged are not displayed.
(6) Changes in version 07-50
- A description has been added to explain that you must restart the computer if you change the setting of Agent is started automatically in the start options for Remote Control Agent.
- A note regarding a Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, or Windows 2000 agent running in the monitoring mode has been added.
- A description about the operations performed when a security PC connects to an agent has been added.
- Wildcards can now be used to register multiple permitted managers in one operation.
- Multiple users can now be managed by passwords and can be set as agent authentication information. In addition, user authentication linked with the Windows Authentication facility can now be used. Due to this change, a description about how to use the Windows functionality to set permissions for access via a network for Windows users and groups has been added.
(7) Changes in version 07-11
- Notes on using the Windows authentication function for setting user information have been added.
- Windows Server 2003 (x64) has been added to the list of supported OSs for JP1/Remote Control Manager.
- You can now specify parentheses [(...)] for the installation directory name when installing JP1/Remote Control Manager from JP1/Software Distribution.
- The dialog box that is displayed when Remote Manager attempts connection during user authentication on an agent has been changed.
- The type of log information output by a controller and agent has been changed from Authentication failure (user ID/password) to Authentication failure (user authentication). Accordingly, the contents of log information have also been changed. Agent log information that is output when authentication for the permitted controller and user authentication is successful has been added.
- A description of the NAT function available for JP1/Remote Control has been added.
(8) Changes in version 07-00
- Windows Server 2003 was added to the list of supported OSs. Windows 95 was removed from the list of supported OSs.
- You can now specify whether to install the online help when installing JP1/Remote Control.
- You can now save and read controller properties.
- You can now specify that the amount of data to be sent to the controller from the agent is to be adjusted automatically.
- From the operating environment of the controller, you can now specify that the agent window size is to be zoomed to fit the window size of the controller.
- The Properties and Control Mode menus of the Remote Control window have been moved to below the Tools menu.
