Appendix E. Available NAT Function

This section describes the NAT function available for JP1/Remote Control.

You can use the NAT function when you use JP1/Remote Control in a firewalled network environment, such as when JP1/Remote Control is used in a cluster system.

The NAT function translates addresses on the network to prevent internal network addresses from being viewed from the external network and leakage to the public.

The available types of address translation are the fixed address assignment (static mode) and dynamic address assignment (dynamic mode).

For JP1/Remote Control, use the fixed address assignment (static mode).
