5.1.2 Showing the Status window

You can extract the Remote Control Agent icon from the task bar, and display it as the Status window. The Status window normally displays information in the following format. This window can be attached to any of the borders on the desktop.

This subsection describes how to display, attach, and exit (store in the task bar) the Status window.

(1) Showing the Status window

Perform the following steps to show the Status window:

  1. Right-click the Remote Control Agent icon, and choose Show Menu.
  2. In the lower level menu, choose Immediately or If Connected.
    Choose Immediately to show the window immediately. Choose If Connected to show the window only when the agent is connected with the controller.

(2) Attaching the Status window to a desktop border

Perform the following steps to attach the Status window to a desktop border:

  1. Right-click anywhere in the Status window, and choose Embedding Menu.
  2. Drag the Status window to a desktop border.
    The Status window automatically snaps to the border.

(3) Exiting the Status window

Perform the following steps to exit the Status window:

  1. Right-click anywhere in the Status window, and choose Minimize.
    The Status window closes and the Remote Control Agent icon appears on the task bar instead.

You can also exit the status window by using the [Figure] button.
