Job Management Partner 1/Software Distribution Client Description and User's Guide
The rdsusnd2 command reports the user resource status for ATM distribution.
Description
This command creates a notification of package status and reports it to the managing server. The managing server stores the reported information into a package status file as distribution history information. The rdsusnd2 command does not update the distribution history information on a relay system.
Format
- For systems other than HP-UX
/NETMRDS/COM/rdsusnd2 -aATM-identifier -estatus-code -spackage-ID [-vversion] [-Ggeneration-number] [-Ccomment] [-hhost-file-name] [-mmanaging-host-name]- For HP-UX
/opt/NETMDMW/bin/rdsusnd2 -aATM-identifier -estatus-code -spackage-ID [-vversion] [-Ggeneration-number] [-Ccomment] [-hhost-file-name] [-mmanaging-host-name]
Options
- -aATM-identifier ~ <alphanumeric characters>
- Specify an ATM identifier. The name specified in this option becomes the distribution-destination name of the distribution history information.
- -Ccomment
- Specify a comment to the package. If you omit the -C option, JP1/Software Distribution Client assumes blanks.
- -estatus-cod ~ <hexadecimal number> ((2 digits))
- Specify two digits of a processing result code. Because the status code specified in this option is not under the management of JP1/Software Distribution, set it at your own discretion.
- -Ggeneration-number ~ <alphanumeric characters>
- Specify the generation number of the distributed package. It is not necessary to make the generation number identical to the generation number of the package distributed to a relay system. If you omit the -G option, JP1/Software Distribution Client assumes 0000.
- -hhost-file-name
- Specify a managing server to which JP1/Software Distribution Client reports the notification of distribution history information.
- -mmanaging-host-name
- If the report of distribution history information transits two or more relay systems before arriving at the managing server, specify the host name of a relay system that is directly connected to the managing server.
- -spackage-ID ~ <uppercase alphabetic characters, numerics, hyphens, or underscores>
- Specify the package ID of the distributed package. It is not necessary to make the package ID identical to the package ID of the package distributed to a relay system.
- -vversion ~ <alphanumeric characters>
- Specify the version number of the distributed package. It is not necessary to make the version identical to the version of the package distributed to a relay system. If you omit the -v option, JP1/Software Distribution Client assumes 000000.
Notes
- Execution of the rdsusnd2 command from the same program (process) is repeatable any number of times. Execution of the rdsusnd2 command to the same distribution-destination name is also repeatable any number of times.
- During the execution by ATM, all execution completed statuses must be under the management of the application program. According to the status change, execute the rdsusnd2 command to notify the managing server of the status change.
- When the Windows version of JP1/Software Distribution Manager is set to use host IDs for client management, the rdsusnd2 command cannot be used.
