rdsusrinv

The rdsusrinv command checks and displays entry requests for user inventory information.

Description

  1. Displays the Update User Information dialog box for entering user information.
  2. Checks to see whether the entry requests for user information have been updated.
  3. Displays a list of user inventory items.
  4. Updates software information.
  5. Reports software information to the server.

Format

  1. Displaying the Update User Information dialog box for entering user information
    rdsusrinv
  2. Checking to see whether the entry request for user information has been updated
    rdsusrinv -c
  3. Displaying a list of user inventory items
    rdsusrinv -v
  4. Updating software information
    rdsusrinv -s
    {[-llabel\;value]...[-nline-number\;value]...}
    [-u]
  5. Reporting software information to the server
    rdsusrinv -u

Option

-c
Checks to see whether the entry requests for user information have been updated. By referring to the end code, you can know whether the entry requests for user information have been updated.
If you specify the -c option, the Update User Information dialog box does not appear. If the entry requests for user information have been updated, re-execute the rdsusrinv command without the -c option to display the Update User Information dialog box and then enter the required information.

-llabel\;value
Specify the label name and software information, separating them with \;. You can check the label name of a user inventory item by executing rdsusrinv -v.
You can specify this option together with the -n option.

-nline-number\;value
Specify the line number and software information for the user inventory item, separating them with \;. You can check the line number for a user inventory item by executing rdsusrinv -v.
You can specify this option together with the -l option.

-s
Specify this option when you want to update software information.

-u
Specify this option when you want to report software information to the server.

-v
Specify this option when you want to view a list of user inventory items.

End code

End code Meaning
0 Command terminated normally.
The requests for entering user information are updated (if you specified the -c option).
1 The requests for entering user information are not distributed.
2 The requests for entering user information are not updated.
3 The user who issued the command is not a superuser.
254 System error occurred.
255 Error other than the above occurred.
