Figure 6-7 Edit Software Operation Monitoring Policy dialog box (specifying an operation monitoring policy name)

[Figure]

Policy name to be registered
Specify a maximum of 64 characters for the operation monitoring policy name. You cannot specify the same name as an existing one.

Version
Specify the version number as up to six alphanumeric characters (alphabetic characters must be upper case) and the slash (/).

Generation number
You may specify a generation number in addition to the version number. Specify a generation number as up to four alphanumeric characters (alphabetic characters must be upper case). You can use the generation number to distinguish between policies with the same version number.
When you specify a generation number, you must also have specified a version; you cannot specify a generation number only. If you specify a version but omit specification of a generation number, 0000 is set automatically for the generation number.

Policy names must be unique. For example, you cannot create two policies with the same name but different version and generation numbers.

Click Next in subsequent dialog boxes to continue the creation of an operation monitoring policy. To cancel the creation process, click Cancel. You can go back to the previous dialog box by clicking Back.
