2.5.5 Installing at a specified time

Remote installation involves software transfer to each client system via a network; therefore, the installation time may vary from one client system to another due to the volume of network traffic.

JP1/Software Distribution enables you to specify an installation date and time, so that you can transfer the package to all applicable client systems in advance and start the installation on all clients at the specified time.

You specify a desired installation date and time on the Schedule page in Packager's Software Distribution Packaging dialog box or the Remote Installation Manager's Change Installation Conditions dialog box.

The following figure shows an example of installation at a specified time.
