2.4.4 Deleting cabinets and deleting packages (managing packages)

This procedure deletes a cabinet or package. Once deleted, a cabinet or package cannot be restored.

To delete a cabinet or package:

  1. In the Package window, select the cabinet or package you wish to delete, and then from the Edit menu, choose Delete.
    A dialog box appears, requesting confirmation of the deletion request.
  2. Choose OK.
    A dialog box appears, requesting reconfirmation of the deletion request.
  3. Choose OK.
    The selected cabinet or package is deleted.

If you attempt to delete software while it is being packaged, the package deletion request is suspended and Remote Installation Manager does not respond until packaging is completed. When this occurs, you should terminate Remote Installation Manager.
