To set an assigned item for device types, use the Assign Inventory - Assigned Item List dialog box, which is displayed by clicking the Browse button for Hardware information.Device type in the Assign Inventory window.

Select an assigned item from among the following items displayed in the Assign Inventory - Assigned Item List dialog box:
- System Information
Selecting the system information item for registration causes OS to be selected in the drop-down list.
- Code
Sets the selected code for Asset Information Manager.
- Get from the user inventory
Registers an item specified in the user inventory information into the hardware information Device type. If this option is selected, specify an item in the text field in accordance with an item specified in the user inventory information.
In the text field, specify the same character string as defined in Item name in the Define User Inventory dialog box.

Set the update method for the value selected to the item to be assigned to Overwrite setting.
- Overwrite (default)
Even if a value is already registered in the asset management database, it is overwritten with the value in the collected inventory information. If the applicable value in the collected inventory information is NULL or N/A, the value that has been registered is deleted.
This option is not displayed for an item that requires settings.
- Overwrite (Not overwritten if NULL or N/A.)
Even if a value is already registered in the asset management database, it is overwritten with the value in the collected inventory information. However, if the applicable value in the collected inventory information is NULL or N/A, it is not overwritten.
This option becomes the default for an item that requires settings.
- Not overwritten
If a value is already registered in the asset management database, it is not overwritten.
