15.4.9 Define Details - [Jobnet Connector] dialog box

The Define Details - [Jobnet Connector] dialog box allows you to define details about jobnet connectors.

This dialog box has the following two pages and common items on both pages:

(1) Items displayed in common

The following figure shows the items displayed in common.

The following explains the displayed items.

Unit name
Specify a unit name. Use a character string of a maximum of 30 bytes. The text box displays Jobnet-Connector by default.

Comment
Specify a comment for the unit. Use a character string of a maximum of 80 bytes. The text box is blank by default.

Exec-agent
You cannot specify an agent name for a jobnet connector.

The following explains the displayed items.

Connection range
Specify the range of connection for the jobnet connector. The default selection is Same service.
  • Same service
    Click this option if you want to control the execution order of the root jobnets under the same scheduler service.
  • Other service
    Click this option if you want to control the execution order of the root jobnets under a different scheduler service. When you click this option, you can enter names in Connection host and Connection service.
This section appears for JP1/AJS3 - View, or JP1/AJS2 - View 08-50 or later.

Connection host
Use a character string of a maximum of 255 bytes to specify the host name of the host that defines the jobnet to which this jobnet connector is connected.
You can specify a name in this section when you choose Other service in Connection range.
This section is not available when you choose Same service in Connection range.
This text box is blank by default.
You cannot specify single-byte spaces, tab characters, and linefeed characters.
You do not need to specify a host name here when the connection-destination jobnet for the jobnet connector belongs to a different scheduler service but exists on the same host.
The text box appears for JP1/AJS3 - View, or JP1/AJS2 - View 08-50 or later.

Connection service
Use a character string of a maximum of 30 bytes to specify the scheduler service name of the scheduler service for which the connection-destination jobnet for this jobnet connector is defined.
You must specify a name in this section when you choose Other service in Connection range.
This section is not available when you choose Same service in Connection range.
This text box is blank by default.
You can specify single-byte alphanumeric characters and symbols (! # $ % + @ - . _).
The text box appears for JP1/AJS3 - View, or JP1/AJS2 - View 08-50 or later.

Connect destination
Use a character string of a maximum of 930 bytes to specify the full unit name of the connection-destination jobnet (root jobnet or planning group) for this jobnet connector. This text box is blank by default.
You can specify single-byte alphanumeric characters, single-byte spaces, and symbols (, ( ) : ; =).

Hold
You cannot specify this for a jobnet connector.

Type
You cannot specify this for a jobnet connector.

Owner
Use a character string of a maximum of 31 bytes to specify the owner of the unit. The text box displays the name of the JP1 user who is logged in by default.

JP1 resource group
Use a character string of a maximum of 63 bytes to specify the name of the JP1 resource group. You can specify alphanumeric characters and underscores (_). The text box displays the name of the JP1 resource group of the upper-level unit. If this text box is blank, you do not have access permission for any JP1 resource group.
