Appendix G.1 Replicated disk installation of Application Server (In Windows)

This subsection describes the procedure for using a replicated disk installation for each product of the Application Server and BPM/ESB platform.

Organization of this subsection
(1) For Application Server and Service Platform
(2) For Developer, Service Architect, and Client

(1) For Application Server and Service Platform

Application Server and Service Platform support installation by using JP1/SC/DPM to replicate the disk. You can use the replicated disk installation functionality of JP1/SC/DPM, and the replication functionality based on image filing provided in the virtual environment.

When you use installation by using JP1/SC/DPM to replicate the disk, the preconditions and the operations implemented with replicated disk installation differ for the component software of Application Server and Service Platform. For details, see Appendix J.3 Notes on replicated disk installation (In Windows). For details on the operations for installation by using JP1/SC/DPM to replicate the disk and how to perform the operations, see the documentation for JP1/ServerConductor/Deployment Manager. For details on the replication functionality based on image filing provided in the virtual environment, see the documentation for the virtual software.

(2) For Developer, Service Architect, and Client

Developer, Service Architect, and Client do not support installation by using JP1/SC/DPM to replicate the disk. The procedure for using replicated disk installation is as follows:

Procedure
  1. Un-install the installed product (Developer, Service Architect, or Client).
For details on how to un-install a product, see 3.3.2 Uninstalling Application Server (in Windows).
  2. Install the replicated disk.
For details on the operations for replicated disk installation and how to perform the operations, see the documentation for JP1/ServerConductor/Deployment Manager.
  3. Install the product (Developer, Service Architect, or Client).
For details on how to install a product, see 2.2.2 Installing new Application Server (In Windows).
