This appendix describes the procedure for installation by using JP1/SC/DPM to replicate the disk. Installation by using JP1/SC/DPM to replicate the disk implies that the replicated disk image created by using JP1/SC/DPM is installed. Whether the method of installation by using JP1/SC/DPM to replicate the disk is available varies depending on the products of the Application Server and BPM/ESB platform.

Note

In AIX and HP-UX, installation by using JP1/SC/DPM to replicate the disk is not supported with Application Server and Service Platform. The procedure of using a replicated disk installation is as follows:

Procedure

1. Un-install the installed product (Application Server or Service Platform).
   For details on how to un-install a product, see 3.3.3 Un-installing Application Server (in AIX, HP-UX).
   
2. Install the replicated disk.
   For details on the operations for replicated disk installation and how to perform the operations, see the documentation for JP1/ServerConductor/Deployment Manager.
   
3. Install the product (Application Server or Service Platform).
