uCosminexus Application Server, System Setup and Operation Guide
Set up the system that executes batch applications, based on the Application Server on which the batch server is allocated. Also, depending on the business purpose, you can allocate specific program to automatically execute the batch operations, or set the Application Server functionality for scheduling the execution of the batch applications.
If you are using Smart Composer functionality, set up the system by using commands from Easy Setup definition file that defines the environment settings of logical server, or the host (j2ee-tier) to which the batch server is allocated. If you use the Management Portal, allocate the logical server (batch server) to the respective hosts on each window of the Management Portal, and set up the system by distributing the settings of each logical server to the host.
The following figure shows the configuration example of a system for executing batch applications. In a system for executing batch applications, set the host, to which the batch server is allocated, as Administrator (Management Server). Moreover, this configuration example shows a single network configuration (workstation LAN and management LAN are not separated), and each host uses one physical NIC.
Figure 4-10 Example of the system configuration for executing batch applications:
The following table describes the tasks to be executed when setting up the system for executing batch applications and necessity of these tasks for each setup tool. Note that the "J2EE server" in the reference manuals is to be read here as "batch server".
