The system that executes batch applications supports the operations similar to the system that executes J2EE application. You must however note the following points:

"J2EE server" in the reference manuals means "batch server" in this context.

• You cannot change the number of batch servers to be allocated to a single host while changing the Web system configuration.
• You cannot alter the scale of a system (ctm-tier) for using the batch application Scheduling functionality.
• When changing the settings of a system for executing batch applications, do not change values of the following parameters:
  
  • batch.service.enabled (batch server extended parameter)
  • use.security (parameters for setting the usage of SecurityManager)
• Because the global transaction is not available, you cannot use RAR file of the global transaction as RAR file of DB Connector.
• In case you connect a batch application to a resource, set an optional name for the resource adapter by using User-specified Namespace functionality. To look up the resource adapter from the batch application, use the optional name set by using User-specified Namespace functionality. Set the optional lookup name created by using User-specified Namespace functionality in Connector Property file.
