Return codes displayed for Client Tool

Job Management Partner 1/Software Distribution Administrator Kit Description and Operator's Guide

The following describes the return codes displayed for dminst.exe.

Code	Meaning	Action
0	Successful installation.	None.
1	Client Tool has been executed by a non-Administrator user. dminst.sci was not found or is broken. dminst.exe.manifest was not found.	To execute Client Tool as a non-Administrator user, set an account with Administrator permissions in the Administrator Permissions page. Make sure that dminst.sci has been stored correctly. Make sure that dminst.exe.manifest has been stored correctly.
2	An invalid value is set for the argument.	Check the value specified for the argument.
3	JP1/Software Distribution Client has already been installed.	To perform overwrite installation, specify necessary information in the Overwrite Installation page in the Create or Edit Installation Set dialog box. For details about how to set overwrite installation, see 3.3.9 Setting overwrite installation. If you do not want to perform overwrite installation, uninstall Remote Control Agent and then install it again.
