3.3.1 Setting items of an installation set

This subsection describes the Create or Edit Installation Set dialog box and the setting items in each page. As an example, this subsection uses the dialog box that the system displays when you select For CD-ROM in the Installation Set Type dialog box.

Page name Setting item
Installation Medium You can set the directory of the installation medium containing the JP1/Software Distribution Client instance to be used. You also enter a comment for the installation set to be created.
Administrator Permissions The settings in this page are valid only when the operating system of the client machine is Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, or Windows 2000.
Set this page to allow a non-Administrator user to have the Administrator permissions when the user starts the installer of JP1/Software Distribution Client to install JP1/Software Distribution Client.
Connection Destination You can set the information regarding the higher connection destination of the client machine.
Settings for Installation and Setup You can set the information about the installation components and the setup of JP1/Software Distribution Client.
User Information/Register in ID Group You can set the user inventory items to be acquired or the ID group to which you want to register the client.
Copying Files You can set the files that are copied when you install JP1/Software Distribution Client.
Executing Files You can set the files to be executed after you install JP1/Software Distribution Client.
Overwrite Installation You can specify whether or not to permit overwrite installation.
To permit overwrite installation, select whether you want to inherit the settings of installed JP1/Software Distribution Client, or apply new setup information. You also specify whether or not to enable the processing specified in the pages in the Create or Edit Installation Set dialog box.

Note that when you select For file server or For FTP server in the Installation Set Type dialog box, the Network Sharing page or the FTP page is displayed in addition to the above pages. Table 3-2 lists and describes the setting items in both pages.

Page name Setting item
Network Sharing The system displays this page only when you select For file server in the Installation Set Type dialog box.
In this page, you can set the network drive mapping and the transfer account for the file server.
FTP The system displays this page only when you select For FTP server in the Installation Set Type dialog box.
In this page, you can set the transfer to the FTP server and the download account.
