8.2.6 Setting up the Client Control page

On the Client Control page, you can specify that the machine at a job destination is to be started and the job executed if the machine was not active. You can also specify that the machine at the destination is to be shut down afterwards.

Boot the client at the job destination
If the machine at a destination is not active, this option starts it and then executes the job. Any machines belonging to an ID group, host group, or all lower clients specified as a destination of the job can be started. Thus, if a relay system on the route is not active, job transfer stops at that point.

Shut down the client after the job execution
Select this option to shut down the machine at a destination that was started by the previous option once job execution is completed.
Do not select this option if you are remotely installing JP1/Software Distribution Client. Otherwise remote installation may not be completed normally.
