4.2.6 Displaying count results as a graph

By simply selecting tabs for count result items in the Count Clients window, you can display the results as a graph.

However, you cannot display a graph when you count multiple inventory items using a combined condition.

Organization of this subsection
(1) Displaying a graph
(2) Changing the graph type
(3) Changing the font

(1) Displaying a graph

When you display count results, a tab with the name of the count item is displayed to the right of the Count Result tab (at the bottom of the window). You simply click this item tab to produce a graph of the count results. The default graph is a three-dimensional bar graph.

When you count multiple inventory items with separate conditions, the Count Result page provides a tab for each of the conditions you set. You can create a graph for each condition.

Note that in a column graph or a pie graph displayed in Event Viewer's Count Clients window, only the first 34 characters of a count item name are displayed. If you wish to view a longer count item name in its entirety, display the Count Result page in the Count Clients window.

(2) Changing the graph type

You can view count results as a three-dimensional bar graph or a circle graph.

To change the graph type, from the Graph menu choose 3D Bar Graph or 3D Circle Graph. A tick mark is displayed in front of the currently selected graph type.

(3) Changing the font

You can change the font used for the labels displayed in a graphs. Label refers to the text displayed along the X- and Y-axes or the count key or number of computers text in a circle graph.

To change the font:

  1. From the Graph menu choose Font.
    The Font dialog box appears.
  2. Select a font, and then click OK.
The labels appear in the set font.
