3.1.5 Checking the collected system information

You can use the System Configuration window, the Destination or Directory Information window to check the collected system information and registry information. The following shows the procedure for checking this information.

To check the collected system information and registry information:

  1. In the left-hand pane of the window, select the host for which information is to be displayed.
  2. From the View menu, choose Select Information and then System Information. Alternatively, choose the System Information tab in the right-hand frame of the window.

  3. From the View menu, choose Select Information and then Registry Information. Alternatively, choose the Registry Information tab in the right-hand frame of the window.

The Data field displays up to 255 characters of data. If the data consists of more than 255 characters, an error message is displayed.

The items to be updated when system information is obtained depend on a setting specified on the Options page that was used when the Get system information from client job was created, as explained below.

Items for which the client could not obtain information are not reported to the managing server. Information items not reported by the client are not displayed when the system information is updated.

Note that N/A is reported for the following items even when the client could not obtain the information:

When N/A is displayed for any item other than those listed above, it means that N/A was the value that the client obtained.
