1.3.2 Planned hot standby

The function in which the operator performs hot standby for a reason such as host maintenance is called planned hot standby. To perform planned hot-standby switchover, the operator executes the server hot-standby switchover command (monswap command) from the active system.

HA Monitor uses for planned hot standby the same environment settings as for automatic hot standby.

The following figure provides an overview of planned hot standby.
